Last week I spent some time interning at Scottish Menswear brand Lyle & Scott (post coming soon). One of my tasks was to scout for some of London's most fashionable men, and one such character was Guy. Guy owns and manages an independent menswear shop in Harrogate, thereby explaining his understated style.
His double breasted pea coat was a stylish and wise choice on what was a bitterly cold day in Central London. Also helping Guy keep warm was this polka-dot lightweight pashmina, cleverly coupled (but not excessively matched) with my favourite of all male accessories: a pocket square.
Pulling everything together were a pair of brown brogues with subtle green tinting. This pair looked well crafted using a range of contrasting materials. Indeed, as I make the transition from teenager to young adult brogues are proving a very real alternative to trainers. Largerly due to their ability to create a variety of looks.
